A Magical Moment?

Absolutely! If you’ve followed me for a while, you’re aware my stories pretty much write themselves. I never sit and stare at a blank page. When an idea niggles, I open my computer, tap the keys, and the story flows. The content explodes onto the pages as my characters reveal their story, whispering through my thoughts. I have no idea where the storyline will lead. No plotting exists. No outline or note cards. I don’t even know the characters’ names until they divulge them. And I’m mystified whether old friends will show up or unfamiliar ones will bloom into new favorites. I’m not even sure what kind of mystery will prevail, or how the chapter will end—let alone how the book will twist and turn into an always exciting HEA.

So, you see why every book I write is magical for me, but my latest stories, dubbed Three Sisters Island Magical Moments, mingled with the Lake Lanier portal and the Three Sisters to evolve into my personal favorites.

I’ve always been a sucker for a good romantic suspense, but throw in an #Outlander style time travel element, and I’m hooked. Carson Marlow, the heroine of In Time for Christmas, forged a story I can honestly say is my favorite so far. But why hear it from me when the amazing reviews express the magic so well:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS for In Time For Christmas

Reviewed by Emily-Jane Hills Orford for Readers’ Favorite

To say Carson was confused is an understatement. In the novel In Time For Christmas by Casi McLean, someone tried to kill her, she was badly wounded, and she had no idea where she was. She barely knew who she was. To top it off, Piers, the man she met bathing at the waterfall, was anything but what she expected. His only means of transportation was on horseback, he had no idea what a phone or a cell phone was or even the concept of electricity and running water. When they met, he was as baffled by her as she was by him. Carson then discovered that she was in the year 1858, in the southern states where slavery was still common practice and she, a doctor from the future, was totally out of her depth. Or was she? A chance to return to her own time, to reconnect with her life, leaves her more confused than ever and all she wants is to go home for Christmas. But where is home? In the past or in the future?

Casi McLean’s romance novel, In Time For Christmas, is a comfort read with a dash of fantasy and time travel. The author draws the reader into the story with a compelling introduction, cleverly setting the stage to explain Carson’s obvious state of confusion. The plot develops as romance blossoms and Carson remarkably finds herself drawn into this simpler life. But there continues to be a pull from the future, to explain who she once was and what her roots were. This adds conflict and multiple unexpected tangents as characters evolve and develop, luring the reader deeper into the story. Dialogue and character development are well executed and the plot will keep the reader’s attention right to the last page. Excellent from beginning to end.

Description

A magical time travel romantic suspense, In Time for Christmas is a mystical holiday story you’ll never forget.

When Dr. Carson Marlow washed ashore on a sandy beach, she had no memory of the last twenty-four hours. Lost, battered, and confused, she trekked a path along the shore into the woods, hoping to find help.

Despite the cool November morning, Piers Bradley stood beneath Madison Falls washing off dust from days of horseback riding. He never expected to see a beautiful woman wandering alone through the dense forest summit.

Neither believed in destiny…or time travel, but nothing short of kismet could describe their encounter. Can Carson and Piers discover who tried to murder her, save a young slave girl’s life, and unravel their mysterious connection in time ~ for Christmas?
