If you surf the net, searching for your favorite authors, you’ll likely see some who stick to promoting their newest release with a backdrop of previously written promotions. Others get up close and personal with updates of their family and friends, holidays, world travels, and the up and down yo-yo of their lives. I strive to be unique. So, who is Casi McLean?
Writing books takes a lot of my time and energy, but family, friends—and life—sometimes dominate my time. For instance, I love Christmas. I can’t think of anything more gratifying than having a house full of people close to my heart. But taking down the decorations, not so much. So, as I performed that tiresome task, I mused over what I could do in 2024 to bring about positive change in my world.
I want to blog more this year and hopefully get to know you—my readers—a little bit better. I’ll still post about my books, excerpts, inspiration, but what makes me tick? This year, I’ll talk more about family, travels, and hobbies I love, which include gardening, both hydroponics and outside herbs, vegetables, and plants, and my recent dive into cooking. I’ve learned how to bake great sourdough bread, ( see my first successful loaf below) and make healthy, delicious food like home-made yogurt and cream cheese chocked full of probiotic and no chemicals. Aside from my love for lakes, streams, and oceans as well as nature hikes, mountains, and silent strolls through the forest, I adore moonlight, mystery, time travel, and the idea of supernatural reality. So, expect a cocktail of interesting, informative, and entertaining off-the-cuff puzzle pieces that make up my life. And perhaps what sparks the swirling tempest that spins through my thoughts as my stories unfold. Join me as I rediscover who is Casi McLean.
