Fitness centers are packed with unfamiliar faces and healthy foods fly off the shelves. We regroup, have new goals and purge old, useless clutter from our lives. Inspiration abounds and our lives transform — well, at least for a few weeks. Why is it that motivation is so fleeting?
If we could just hold on to that energy and determination our lives could be transformed, but for most of us, day-to-day life eventually demands our attention and takes a front seat. We fall back into old routines. The key to staying on track is to feed the fire of your attitude. Enthusiasm is contagious! If we spend time around dynamic, motivated people, a kind of contact-high seeps into our psyche and fuels the flame of our passion from within. Like any flame, without fuel, it will flicker, fade and eventually burn out.
How do you escape the inevitable fade out? Turn to your senses! Watch motivational videos and programing, listen to positive influences, touch the lives of others and smell the sweet aroma of success.
The choices you make determine the path you walk and EVERY one counts. So this year — make no excuses! Whether you want to loose weight, change jobs or careers, get stronger or healthier — whatever your goals may be, there are a myriad of people who live your dream. It can be done! Find a mentor, a partner or maybe just a friend who will fuel your fire and keep the flame burning with positive input.
Don’t become a statistic this year and fall back into patterns you want to escape. Let 2010 be a pivotal point in your life — the year you follow through, reach your goals and grasp your dreams.
We all have just one life to live … Choose to live it well and fully!
