If I can’t do something at first glance, I  look for my options and find a way to make things work. What do you do? Do you just throw up your hands and say, “I can’t” ??? If you do, its important you know that repeated resignation and compliance drains your passion. Think about it. If you had taken that attitude as an infant, you would have never learned to walk. Toddlers have amazing determination when they attempt to conquer their world and everyone begins their life with that incredible resolve. A little one would never respond to her mother’s out stretched arms with, “That’s okay mommy, I like to crawl. I’ll just stay down here where it’s familiar and safe and leave the walking to everyone else.” Children begin their lives with conviction, confident that if they try, they will eventually succeed. They may fall over and over in the process, but they are convinced the ultimate outcome will be a success. What happens to that resolve as we grow up? Why do experiences, tragedies and failures wear people down to the point that defeat defines their destiny? Necessity is the mother of invention. The early Americans created what they needed to survive. Maybe that’s what a lot of us do today ““ create what ever we can to survive. Too many people spend their lives going through the motions ““ trying to merely survive. Life can be so much more ““ true love, passion for what you do, contentment and happiness with who you are, pride in your accomplishments and how you touch the lives of others. What are you looking for in life? Don’t be afraid to take the first step. Ben Stein once said, “The first step in getting the things you want in life is this: Decide what you want.” So take that first step and discover your passion. I hope you enjoy this video.
